Boarding at 07:00h at the Tropical Hotel Pier; accommodation of the passengers. The boats have air-conditioned cabins, each with bunk beds and a private bathroom. Huge top deck. The friendly crew makes great drinks and food, and specialized guides take guests deep into the forest for exciting adventures on River Negro.
The adventure begins with a cruise up the river. We will pass by great areas of primary forest. The Anavilhanas Archipelago, one of the greatest attractions on the river, is formed by more than 400 islands with curious shapes and colors, a huge natural labyrinth in the mysterious Amazon scenery.

ANAVILHANAS EXPEDITION

1st day -
Boarding at 09:00, from the Tropical Hotel pier.
Accommodation of passengers in regional boats with air conditioning. The adventure begins with a cruise on River Negro, passing by the Historic part of the city of Manaus, the old buildings of the rubber-boom time (1880-1920).
Continuing the trip up to the Meeting of the Waters, we' ll visit the Janaury Ecologic Park, and we'll cross igarapés (narrow river courses) and igapós (wet forests) on motorized canoes. You'll have the opportunity to see the famous vitórias régias (tropical waterlilies), natives, birds and other attractions.
Lunch on board.
After lunch we'll have piranha fishing.
Return for dinner.
Alligator spotting.
Overnight in Jacareubal. 2nd day -
After breakfast, we'll have a walk in the jungle, where there's a great possibility to see some amphibians and reptiles. We'll show a little bit of our medicinal plants and trees.
Return to the boat to lunch.
We'll navigate through River Negro up to the Terra Preta Indian Community to have a closer contact with the natives.
Overnight in the majestic Anavilhanas Archipelago, a natural labyrinth with over 380 islands. 3rd day -
We'll wake up early in the morning to hear the birds singing and to watch the sunrise. After that, we'll go to Praia Grande (a river beach) where we can swim in the River Negro Waters.
Return to Manaus

MEETING OF THE WATERS
River boat cruise, departing form the floating docks of Manaus or from Tropical Hotel. On the way, our expert guide will provide basic information about the River Negro and River Solimões, which together form the River Amazonas. Then, on Lake Janauary, we will board motorized canoes and ride through the jungle’s innumerous waterways and see some unforgettable natural sights, including the famous Victoria-Amazonian (water lilies). Afterwards, a local fish meal for lunch, served on a floating restaurant, in Lake Janauary. Return to Manaus.

SUNSET TOUR AND ALLIGATOR SPOTTING
The sunset tour leaves at 5:00 pm, way down the River Negro to enjoy the beauties of the Amazonian sunset. Our highly trained guide, using a flashlight, will find the Alligator - then the animal is caught by the guides with their bare hands or by lasso, depending on the size of it. After being photographed, the alligator is released back to its environment.
