RESERVA FLORESTAL ADOLPHO DUCKE

General info: The Adolfo Ducke Forest Reserve (RFAD) includes 10,000 ha of tropical lowland forest on the outskirts of Manaus. It is situated on the division of two principal watersheds, one draining to the River Amazon and the other to the River Negro. This terra-firme forest area is one of the most studied primary forest remnants in the tropics, and its incredibly rich amphibian and reptile fauna are widely documented in long-term field studies.
